OUTPOST starts Principal Photography

An adrenaline fuelled, gore-filled action horror film in the tradition of Aliens, The Thing and The Descent, OUTPOST is set in war-torn Eastern Europe, where a band of battle-worn mercenaries undertake a dangerous mission into no-man’s land at the behest of a mysterious businessman.  They set out to locate and secure a disused military bunker, but when they get to their target, they discover a terrifying secret that has laid buried for half a century – and which they’ll have to fight for their lives to survive.

Rae Brunton’s original script is filled with jumps, jolts, shocks and scares. It is gut-wrenching, with terrifying set pieces and a suffocating, claustrophobic atmosphere.  Gory, gruesome and thrilling in equal measure.

The multi-national cast includes Ray Stevenson (HBO’s Rome, King Arthur), Julian Wadham (The Madness of King George), Richard Brake (Batman Begins, Hannibal Rising), Michael Smiley, Enoch Frost, Paul Blair, Julian Rivett, Brett Fancy and Johnny Meres.  

Shooting on location in the dramatic landscape near Dumfries in the west of Scotland and studio shooting in Glasgow, the film is scheduled to wrap in February 2007.

OUTPOST is being produced by Black Camel Pictures and Cinema One in association with Matador Pictures and Regent Capital. Producers are Arabella Page Croft and Kieran Parker of Black Camel. Nigel Thomas of Cinema One is Executive Producing, with Jamie Carmichael and Graham Begg of sales agent ContentFilm, which has acquired worldwide distribution rights.
