Nothing is sacred on Rick's comic horizon; as he proudly refers to himself as an "equal oppourtunity offender". Each week Rick travels to a different part of Canada meeting notables from the political arena, checking in with entertainment figures, and more often than not kicking back and "Talking to Canadians". And of course No Monday Report would be complete without one of Rick's famous trade mark rants. Last season audiences got involved in Monday Report in a way unlike any other. It's no surprise that Maclean's Magazine put Monday Report and Mercer on their cover describing him as "Canada's hottest TV comic," and the New York Times seconded the opinion calling him "Canada's leading political satirist."
