Mitch McKinley's life is fine. He has a wonderful family and he's had the same job for 22 years but somehow he feels he's missing something. At Christmas, the golf clubs given to him by his dead father mysteriously appear beneath the tree and, taking this as an omen, he decides to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a professional golfer. This puts pressure on his marriage with Sarah, who finds herself in crisis with no one to turn to.
