Moving backwards and forwards in time between the 1920s and the 1970s, 'The Diviners' is the story of Morag Gunn, a prairie orphan and later, famous novelist. Hers is a search for understanding and reconciliation with her past - the early loss of her parents, her life-long love-affair with a Metis man, Jules Tonnerre, and her troubled relationship with their illegitimate daughter, Pique.
