Synopsis HOLLYWOOD NORTH is a comedy drama about a young entertainment lawyer called Bobby Meyers, who has charted a meteoric course, rising through the ranks of the biggest law firm in Toronto. He is the golden boy and everything has gone his way. Smart, handsome, confident and wealthy, he is now growing bored and looking for a real challenge. So what does Bobby do? Bobby buys the rights to 'Lantern Moon', a classic Canadian novel which tells of a young girl's touching coming of age story in a rural Prince Edward island. Many have tried to get the rights to the novel and all have failed. As usual, Bobby succeeds. He charms the author and secures the film rights. He is convinced he is going to turn 'Lantern Moon' into a film that will be an artistic, critical and financial victory. However, fate has different ideas and the nervous investors demand an American star. That's only the beginning - Bobby's problems really begin when the aging American star begins to sink into a state of paranoid insanity and the novelist feels that her life's work has been ruined and is seeking damages. To make matters even worse, the young male lead cuts short his time 'on-set' when, unbeknownst to the director, he accidentally severely injures himself whilst trying to perform his own stunts!
